sprint to unlock phones

yeah. now we only have to worry about spc for lost/stolen and phones with bills on them (ok so that's like 90% of the phones i get but hey it's a start!)

i thought that even after the account was write off they still try to collect the balance? the only difference was that they close out the account and stop billing and flag you with lightbridge. when i used to sell sprint we could not activate any esn that had a balance on it until the amount was paid off with sprint, but maybe that's changed? either way still gonna need all those tools for like 90% of sprint phones people bring in.

I don't know if there is any rhyme or reason to it. We've had phones that were'nt clear that we've put into a box and then were able to activate several months later. With all that is going on with Sprint's "Premiere Accounts"...."Enserable Accounts"...and Hybrid service....nothing ever seems to go smoothly with them.

So. Does this mean that the treo 650 sprint phone i have that i found in a trashcan with a broken screen and that i replaced with a different screen...can now be activated to work on verizon? that would be just too
good to believe. If it is true can someone tell me how i go about doing
it, do i need sprint to unlock it or can verizon do it?

thanks
susan
