Sprint PPC-6700 and Cricket

Ok I have already got my phone set up working, but I have a few questions...
Again, let me remind you I have the Sprint version of the 6700. and Yes I do have the magic unlock code, thats the only way I got everything working

1) Cricket told me that I could not get Mobileweb or whatever their version of the internet is...Is that because I have a sprint branded phone OR is it not available in San Antonio

If it's because it's sprint branded, can someone post a link to give me the WAP settings that will work for a sprint branded and flashed to cricket??

2) The PRL update using *228 is not working it fails every time I do it telling me: To hold on until I have receive confirmation that the phone has been programmed. I sit there and wait, but after about 1 minute I get a message saying:

"The nuraber of SPC attempt fail 15 times from network. HanRABet will freeze for 1 mintues then power reset."

Can someone tell me what I need to do to make sure I can use the mobile web and get PRL updates!!!!!."
 
Yeah hmm what you did wrong, is that you didnt even take the time to search.... There are litterly over 10 threaRAB about this phone alone so search.
 
Actually, if you check your PM I already sent you my phone #. The problem that I think I am having is setting my unlock code to 000000. I think if I can figure out how to change it from what Sprint programmed it to then PRL updates will work.

AMOAMARE, I understand I should have searched, but I did and haven't found the anser to the question, also on the question below I was looking for a reference as to if it is a San Antonio issue or do I need to keep working to get my phone working.

I didn't want to waste my time looking for an answer if that service isn't avaialbe in my area and if you or someone like you already had the answer it would be easier for you to tell me than make me spen 4 days searching for an answer you already had....
 
If they have wap and picture messaging in your area, i couldnt tell you ask them at cricket if they say yes you have wap and picture messaging the PPC6700 can get it. We will not step your through this. It has been posted many times.. If you do not understand what has been posted keep looking, or simply use my rom and or others that are making them. TO make it easier..

*228 will work in most cases when the security code is set to all zero's and all settings are correctly set in the phone.
 
bastages at Cricket are telling me that they cannot active wireless web on my phone since the option is not available ON MY PHONE. They say it's available in my area just not on my phone. When I called in I told the account rep that I was going to be activating a Razr vc3, like most of you guys recommended. I wonder if this is because of me not changeing the lock code to all zeros, and since I can't do an OTA PRL update? anyone...anyone??
 
My customers get that all the time. The fix is simple, and you don't need to call CS.

On the phone navigate to wap.cricket.motricity.com yes you can go there without the mobile web.

On that page hit E-Mail, then Google. It should warn that you are not subscribed, and allow to subscribe. Wait 15 minutes and it should work now.
 
hi...i have a ppc 6700 that bought on ebay flashed to cricket.i can make and receive call and texting, but i still can't get the internet or mms to work. i have gone through the entire site, read all the solution for the ppc 6700, tried all everyone's solution and nothing works,i'm not wireless savvy...so i would appreciate any help...

hi Amoamare,
need a little help....yesterday i dropped my 6700 on a tile floor at work. not very far cuz i'm only 5'2"..lol, anywho the screen will not stay on, it keeps fading out. when i press right above the joystick on the front casing, it come back on agaain...but fades back out again, it doesn't stay on to do anything unless i press where i stated and keep it pressed while using the phone....is it possible that when it dropped, some came loose?

any help would be appreciated....thanks
