sprint htc touch pro 2 rom update issue (WM 6.5) help?

I went to the HTC website. Seemed simple enough.. S/N? SURE! I typed it in. Invalid. In fact I tried every single number sequence on the back to no avail. I have two questions: 1, what might I be doing wrong? 2, if I am doing something wrong, how would I go about updating my WM to 6.5?
