So i have been trying to figure out how to root my htc hero with the most recent update for the past week. Unfortunately it has been unsuccessful. I have tried many diffrent programs like...
Unrevoked- downloaded fine but then when i got it on my phone and told it to do it, it said done and i never got su access
fresh cook- i downloaded fine then when i plugged phone into computer the program on my computer never sensed that my phone was there. (failure to connect) and it said that it couldn't find java or something
androot- same thing as unrevoked downloaded to my phone fine but did nothing.
So apparently i know how to download stuff but i just dont know how to work it. So can someone please tell me how to either use the above programs properly or show me a new program to use, and instructions on how to do it. Thanks!
