First I just want to take the time to thank everyone for sharing information. I have found this site to be very helpful in learning about cell phones.
I believe I am almost finished converting my phone but there seems to be a step that I am leaving out.
I have completed the following steps:
1) Contacted cricket with new ESN.
2) Changed Service Programming Code and Field Service codes to 333333
3) Uploaded the 1040 RLA file as the preferred roaming.
4) Dialed *228 and *2 to try to update with cricket.
When I do step 4, it starts off with the welcome to cricket line but then halfway through the update it says "I am sorry, you are unable to update your phone." Then, it disconnects.
I am thinking there may be a minor setting in QPST that I am leaving out. What do you guys think?
I tried using different PRL files and I contacted cricket twice to confirm the new ESN is correct.
