Spring is Here....It's COLD !!!

And 14 inches in my area. 35cm for the metric minded.
(insert sounds of whining here)

I just ran out and got diesel for the Kubota to plow this schitt. WTF.. $4.10 per gallon
(insert more whining here)

And yesterday 99% of the snow was gone and I was considering putting the snowmobile suit on and taking the first 08 short ride.
(and yet more whine here)
 
Southern Ontario will have 9c tomorrow and 10c on Saturday so the season is here. Just have to be carefull before i get some heat into the tires, can be pretty slippery untill I do that.
 
Sitting in my home office (still job searching) I hear the Milwaukee Vibrators going up the road. In the garage I look at the dust covered 998 and plug the tender in. Aah yes, it goes green within 30 seconds. Thank you Ducati for the new although now seven year old 3 phase electrics design.

It's 42 degrees here, and this afternoon I might take it on the maiden 08 blow the dust off jaunt as the gurus say it will top 50. That'll get the light rust off the rear rotor. But it's clouding up and rain/sleet is coming. On second thought I might postpone the ride and unplug the tender and let more dust accumulate.

Edit: Rain. Maybe Saturday It'll go out.
 
It's going to be overcast and cold tomorrow morning. Maybe 55F (that makes the wind chill something like 45F!!!) , 30%humidity, winds SE at 8 mph. My face shield might fog up. Sounds rotten, so maybe I'll stay in and watch cartoons. or throw on a long sleeve t-shirt under my jacket to keep me warm. All the early morning women joggers make it hard to keep my focus on the road and traffic. I keep thinking about lights being on. What are those jog bras made of anyway? Kevlar? The support straps must have the tensile strength of spider webs.

Sorry, where was I? Oh, yeah. Cold tomorrow...
 
44 degee's, 4 feet of snow, 6 inches of rain........i'm feel'n a little sissyfied.........precious doesn't leave the garage till at lease 55 sunny degrees......and thats for a test drive.
 
Well it was a brass monkey morning here in Ontario but by the afternoon 13c and sunny. went for a three hour ride. Forgot just how good this bike feels and goes. 64 years old and just starting to get pimples.
