im a cheerleader and i need a good hairdo that keeps my hair and bangs out of my face!! also.. it needs to stay put since i tumble and stunt. flyer.

i want it to look cute too :D

HAIR TYPE:
medium length, thin, lots of layers, layered side bangs, pin straight.

-elastic headbands http://www.luxaholics.com/images/blog/01...
[can you give me advice on how to make these stay? bobby pins don't work. and i dont want to use hairspray or gel in my hair for practice. and im not going out to buy those stay put or any new kind of headband. ive got these so i mind as well use them]

right now, all ive been doing is clipping my hair to the side or in a poof with bobbypins, putting the rest in a ponytail, and bobby pinning all the crazy layers sticking out.

not cute.

thanks for your ideas :D
okay. for the girl who said i was shallow. wow. im just wondering for a new way than the crappy way i do put my hair in.

and for saying half ur hair isnt in the ponytail. wow again. since uh im stunting and tumbling and a flyer. its REQUIRED to have all hair back. no flyaways. no bangs. no anything.

yes its JUST practice. i NEVER said i have to look amazing.

i just wanted a cute new way.

and judging all the cheerleaders in the world from one question you dont fully understand is even worst. talk about prejudice!.

thank you for those who actually gave me ideas. yes the way i do my hair works. but i just dont like it. and i dont like fixing the bobby pins after theyve been crapped up by tumbling or stunting.

For your bangs you could twist them and pin to your head ( like, twist them towards your crown of your head) or you could kinda French like braid them. Hope I helped :)

put your hair in a high ponytail and use the elastic headbands to keep back your bangs and if you need to use a couple of bobby pins

i really didn't realize cheerleaders were so shallow in real life.

it's PRACTICE. people don't expect you to look nice, and if you do then they're on crack.

i go to soccer practice and throw my hair up in a bun. by the end of practice, practically none of my hair is in the hair tie and it's all sweaty and clumped around my face. all you do afterward is pull it back up and go home (or shower if ur team does that before leaving).

it's no big deal to look messy when ur practicing for a SPORT, which basically implies "looking like crap."

iyour link didn't work. the elastic headbands come in a variety of widths and you have to find a size that works for you i like the flat find not the round i have a lot of layers and the really wide ones have a clear strip of something. but you don't really need to look AMAZING during practice. it's just practice.
