Why do people have sports cars when they can t race them?

i see a guy driving a sport car i think that is bad for the environment and also is this guy pretending he can race is car! ether that or he is insecure needs to build up his ego with material things.

i think people look stupid buying them my dad was going to give me his fire bird transam i did not take it i wanted a Volkswagen beetle. there great on gas there cute!
 
It's not just the horsepower of sports cars its the handling and the feel of the controls, more precise, less like you're floating. Also if you are driving the car normally they can get good mileage since they are normally lighter weight than an average sedan or especially an SUV, which is allowed to return lower MPG and pollute more since it is classified as a light truck. For example the Honda Odyssey gets 23 MPG on the highway and the Chevrolet Corvette gets 26
 
fact of the matter is alot of them do take thier sports cars and race them . its a free country if you want to drive your little hunch bug great we will wave at you as we go zooming by you on the road
 
I did not purchase my sports cars to race it. I am fully aware of how good a driver I am and have no need to prove it by racing. I bought it because it handles better, stops better and is simply more fun to drive on twisty roads than a sedan. And I certainly did not buy it to pick up women. I have no interest in women that judge me by the car I drive, and if I did I'd ride in a stretch limo; not some cramped sports car.
As for pollution, my car emits less pollution than most sedans because it is a 2009 model and has a relatively small engine compared to most other cars.
Your perception of cars clearly indicates that you are quite young and know very little about cars except for which ones look good and which ones do not.
 
They don't pollute the environment anymore than any othed sedan. They are cool and want something more than a little car that buzzes past the stop light.
