Sports car under 10k?

hi this will be my 1st car and im looking for a sports car. I will be head off to college soon. so im looking for a car. i have a 90 supra turbo but the engine doesnt work. so if all else fail with the supra i want to buy my own car. anyone got any ideas on any sports car that might be good under 10k something like my supra or prelude?
 
Sounds like you're searching for a "Sporty" car rather than a "Sports" car (you're not going to find a "Sports" car, that's RUNNING - or worth owning, for under $10,000 - sorry).

Perhaps a previously-owned (second-hand/used) Ford Focus, Scion (Toyota), Hyundai or a Kia is what you're looking for?

There's no sense in buying something that you have to depend on just because it "suits your fancy" (looks good or seems fun). Get something "worth something" - get something of VALUE that is reliable.
