Sports 3 Free Preview

My guide says free preview until September 30th for the Sports 3 channels but the channels are red in my guide. Anybody getting this free preview? WLDTV, FIGHT, GolTV,WFN.
 
anyone know if I can change sports 3 pack for something else during the preview and then change it back sept31?

My guess, as I do not see the internal Express Vu systems is that it may well be Free from Sept 1st to 30th. This is only a guess.
 
You can swap a theme at anytime...

It's just when you "downgrade" that the 30 days is required. Actually the rule is that before you remove it you must have had the theme or channel for a period of a minimum of 30 days. Then the theme or channel is removed on the first day of the following billing cycle
 
i swear bell does these things to piss me off. I orderd Much Retro 2 months ago and now its going to shut down so i canned it. When i called to cann it i added Sports 3. Now a day later, sports 3 is in free preview for the month! What the heck :confused:

I hope they dont charge me for it this month....
 
I also have the message saying that there is a free preview on those channels, but when I go on them it tells me that those are subcription channel. I'm not at work today (I work evenings, soon day!) but yesterday when I left there was nothing posted about that free preview.

The previous comment is probably right and the free preview is probably from the 1st till 30th. I will come back with the details when I get back from work
 
I have having issues with these channels, they recently appeared on my guide, about two days ago and I wanted to get them. Then yesterday on the guide it said free preview until Sept 30 so I was like... GREAT! But they were still in red...


So in the morning today, I was able to view the Fight Network and all the others! So I was happy, I watched some Fight Network for a little bit, but then it got all messed up and I got smart card errors and such. So I changed the channel... I came back two hours later and the whole Sports 3 were in red! I didn't believe it!

Is anyone else having this problem? It is good to know that Sports Three is on 91 now though, but wow... I wonder what happened with my guide? Did anyone else get GolSP? I noticed that new one earlier...
 
That is a weak Sportspack. They should either lower it to $1.99 or add some more networks to it
 
yes i do have the same thing. but it still mark free preview on it, so my guest it could start tomorrow (1st september to 31st september) or not.
 
You think when they made a goof like that they would carry on and give the free preview like they said. Instead they chose to look like they don't know what their doing..What a waste of money up front, spent to look like competent company.
 
yep its red. it also says free preview til september 30th but do we need to subscribe to sport 1 package to be allowed to received free. by the way is animal planet a free preview b'cause its not red any more?
 
Just spoke to TECH3 to get some answers on that...

Sports 3 channels have been moved to Nimiq 1 for the lenght of the free preview only. After that period client would need to have Nimiq 2 to get it

The channels should be unlocked already, normal troubleshooting procedure applies if channels are missing

Client that usually suscribe to Sports 3 will get a credit for the amount of the theme on their bill
 
But the channels are still red and no mention of free preview anymore when press info.
 
Canad it might be a weak Sports package according to you, but it's a very popular one with our clients. Lots of boxing & wresling fans took it instead of renting PPV events... Lots of soccer fans also took it for GolTV...

I don't see why we should decrease the price of the package... Divertissement Plus has also only 4 channels included in and o one complains that it should be cheaper.

Back to the subject...yesterday when I left there was still no info about a free preview for that theme pack.

Those channels require the "upgrade kit" so if there is a preview offered it would only be to those with "Nimiq 2"

I do not suscribe to that Sports theme, and have the "upgrade kit" on my dish and those channels are still showing a message that this is a suscription channel which you have no purchased
 
Agent, The Sports 3 pack has recently been Moved to The Nimiq1 bird so that all subs will be able to catch it now. Thats probably why their doing the free preview now since it was on nimiq2 only before and some people could not get it without upgrading to the 2LNB setup

When I came home I realised that there is no mention of the free preview in the info of those channels like there was before
 
I don't think they moved it permanantly to Nimiq 1. They did it when they had technical issues last week, but this was only a few hours thing from my understanding.

I will look up what you are telling me today, which I doubt since there was no post in our system info about it being moved to Nimiq 1 permenantly. If it was the case, i'm sure they would have, happy that we could sell it to any clients with no "you have to buy the upgrade kit" restriction
