Sportnet HD3?

But they can't broadcast any NHL games on 851. That is their National Channel and they don't carry any national games. Only TSN and CBC carry the national games. With SNHD2 and SNHD3 they will be able to televise the regional games and black them out to the rest of the country just like they do with the SD channels.

More Oilers HD the better, but it's funny I emailed sportsnet after hd2 showed up asking for a schedule so I could plan to watch if any Oilers games showed up, and they told me they didn't have one which disapointing but fine, i guess. In the email they said hd2 was only going to be present while baseball playoffs were on so they could show alternate hd programming? this doesn't appear to be true but plans change. I see
TSNHD has no problem blacking us out when they show Leafs regional games, and I wonder why sportsnet doesn't follow suit? More local HD would be great, which I would gladly exchange for being blacked out of other regions broadcasts. Speaking for myself if it's not live HD sporting event SD is fine. Especially if it's an exchange for an HD game once a week or so.

The Edmonton/Minnesota game is supposed to be on channel 852 (SNHD2) tonight at 5PM PST. SNHD2 and SNHD3 are both still listed in Bell's guide, so I think they are here for good.

I believe that when the Leafs are on TSN regional, that the whole country gets alternate programming and channel 402 (SD) is where the Leafs game is found for the Leafs region of Ontario. I have yet to see a TSN regional game with HD highlights--which tells me it is not available in HD in the Leafs region only.

Yes, there will only be 2 HD hockey games on SN (as long as there are only 3 SN channels). When tvman mentioned games, I wrongly assumed he meant "any" game, which could include baseball. If you are only talking about hockey, then, yes 2 is the correct answer!

What I would REALLY like, but will probably never get, is the Oiler PPV games in HD. The SD feed is SO bad I would gladly pay a few extra $$$ to get it in HD if I had to. Shame the Centre Ice package blacks those games out...
