Sport question...? Decisions.?

I've been on the swim team for 6 years, and I'm the best on my team (Of all ages). This summer, if I get accepted, I'm going to a science camp. I'm also going on a mission trip with my church. Also, I'm going to a church camp. I wanted to go to summer school (Yes, I'm a nerd.), but I'm not sure if they will accept kids who don't actually need help in school. So, I don't have time this summer to swim. It wouldn't be fair to everybody if I miss a lot of practices, and miss so many meets that I can't compete in the championship. What would be the point? I swim because I love to swim, and my mom doesn't understand that I don't need to be on a team this summer. I can just swim at the local in-door pool, and still have time to do camps and such this year. I tried to explain to her, but she is stubborn. I would still get to swim, go to educational and spiritual camps, and have time for major studying for next year. What can I do to make her understand? I tried talking to her. I'd really like to swim by myself, also. I hate competing, but love being alone and swimming my usual laps.
