first stop going to dealership for car repairs dealership are in business to sale cars where shops in business to repaired them making dealer last place to go and it seems they cant repair it right and have been guessing which you could have done im i right or not

easy go to a shop who works on car every day any shop is better than a dealership when it come to repairs

The brakes on my W reg Honda civic have stopped working as they should do, the pedal is spongy and you have to press hard for the car to stop, this just happened overnight. I've taken it to Honda and they changed the brake fluid and bled the system, then changed the master cylinder , then the Servio but it is still the same, they now say it might be the ABS modulator, which is 1400 pounds for the part and there is nothing more they can do, they want me to pick my car up but say it's not save to drive.. what do i do now? Is it worth trying to get a second hand part and getting someone to fit it?it might still not be that, what else could it be?

So you got a dodgy honda and you took it to a dodgy honda garage.its a honda car so why cant honda fix the problem.......They do know what it is and there out to get as much money as possible off you.Get the car back take it to a 2nd garage for a 2nd opinion.anyway £1400 for a modulater.
Price 1 up from car parts shop you will no where near that kind of money.

"they changed the brake fluid and bled the system, then changed the master cylinder" - well, that's pretty comprehensive. If that doesn't fix it, you have expensive problems.

They should be able to test the modulator. But, W reg? Not worth spending much money on it.

Check the wheel cylinders are not leaking, they should have checked this, but who knows?

I agree. The dealer can make more money off you by selling you a new car. Rather than fix your old one.

Simply bleeding the brakes again should fix your problem.
Take it to a REAL mechanic.
