Spongebob Squarepants Appreciation Thread

:wave: I'm a newbie to the thread

I must admit, I've never been much of a cartoon fan, but my brother introduced me to Spongebob and I couldn't stop smiling. He's so cute and funny :blush:. My favourite episode is the Jellyfishing one :)

Has anyone heard of the Spongebob church. There was an article on Yahoo News a while ago. Unfortunately the link is dead now, but basically there's an officially registered church in the U.S dedicated to the one and only Spongebob. There are already 700 devout meraber who study Spongebob scriptures and they promote 'simple things like having fun and using your imagination'. Probably the most simplistic religion I've heard of to date! If requires staunch daily viewings of Spongebob cartoons- consider me a convert! :lol:

Oh... and I made a a few Spongebob avies and icons if anyone's interested. They're in the cartoon avies thread :D
 
Spongebob is da borab. I can't wait to see the movie.

A friend bought my cousin a plush Spongebob dressed up as a pirate. My cousin gets a lot of SPongebob-related gifts (she introduced Spongebob to me). Right now I'm just so jealous of you, I could use a boyfriend. :)
 
I saw a trailer on nick.com. I can't wait!!!! The sad news is that they might not make any more new eps

I am a huge SpongeBob fan that hasn't seen the movie. :no: I'm not sure why...I think part of it is that for some reason I think I'm going to be disappointed so I've avoided that possibly happening by just not watching it. :goof:

But I've gathered from some of your guys' comments that I won't be disappointed? Right? :look:

Caught the new episodes last week. Ah, good stuff. For some reason I loved Mr. Krabs': "What the flim flam?" :lol:
 
Hey Janet I have a talking spongebob too.its soo cute. i got a big patrick pillow last christmas from my boyfrienRAB mom,and the kid that used to live upstairs from me kept trying to snag him..:lol: kiRAB are funny.
 
I'm going to go (I keep saying this, I know) but my cousin and I agreed not to see it until her sister can come into town so we can all go see it together. I don't think it'll be as good as the show, but as long as it's better than Alexander...I'm happy. Gah, that was a horrible movie.
 
Hey Guys, I am a huge spongebob fan and I have some great news for you... My sister works at the movie theatre and last night she came home with a spongebob poster for the Spongebob squarepants Movie! It is coming out thanksgiving 2004!

Spongebob truly is the best. My sister bought me a SB calender for my birthday last year (it's on January 7th so I got good use out of the calender) and I have a talking SB (my neices and nephews get an even bigger kick out of it than I do, which is saying something). I wish I had a cut in their sales...imagine the money. :lol:
 
Oh...thats totally cool!

I am home all day with my son, so we have a lot of time to watch cartoons. Nickelodeon is pretty much on all day long, unless I am watching soaps or we are playing video games. Nick has tons of awesome toons, Spongebob being among the best. Plus we have DVD's too.
 
spongebob is one of my favorite cartoons because he and patrick do the stupidest things, like steal a balloon on free balloon day! now that is totally stupid! and he is just a funny character! but i will give mad props to patrick and mr. krabs! they are my faves.
