Splice

Its not bad but not great, very like the movie Species, the creature doesnt even get let loose on the world which was a bit disapointing most of the movie takes place in the lab except the last 20mins,the creature itself is pretty cool but shame on adrain brody, ull see why when u watch it lol

I was looking forward to seeing this - have been since i first saw stills of it on IMDB.com back in april.

however, for me this film is one of the worst i have ever seen in a while.
it is boring, terrible dialogue and also poorly acted in places by that woman in it.
it was pants to the highest degree.

I can not possibly describe the suffering i have just had watching this - the fact that i lost 2 hours of my life has left a little tear in my eye. time i will never get back.

the ending was pish. the whole movie was pish.

pish. pish. pish.

Actually, i dont think i have hated a movie so much in ages.

Adrian Brody - what where you thinking? not for what his charater did in the move, but for actually making the movie in the first place.

however, it has actually put me in the mood to watch The Thing tonight.

Another dumb scientist movie... Some of it beggars belief.. The scenes with them doing scientific "stuff" are ridiculous. I've spent more time making rice crispie cakes, or something, then they apear to splicing together genes. But there are some good bits, and it has an interesting plotline, although it gets sillier as it goes along. It thinks it has pretensions of being a deep, meaningful examination of a scientists power to "play God", but is ultimately just schlocky. I was surprised to find Guillermo del Torro attached as Exec.

And I agree. What has happened to Adrien Brody's career? Is he after a new house, or something? With this and Predator, all his integrity seems to have gone out of the window after some very early promise...

I was going to see this, but it appears to be on VERY limited release. The nearest cinema (to me) showing it is about an hours drive away!

It was OK but not as great as some critics made it out to be. Comparing it to David Cronenburg? No way!

Adrian Brody is as ever annoying and speaks throughout in his stupid dull monotone.

Did anyone see the same film i did? I watched this today and i really liked it! It was different, smart, intelligent and makes a change from the usual Summer blockbuster fare (good and bad, but mostly bad!) we have dumped on us during this season. Guillermo Del Torro is attached on as Executive Producer for a reason! The reviews its getting are mostly positive.

It isn't a pure out and out gore shlock fest but it does turn that way towarRAB the end which is unfortunate, but it does make you think at times, makes you wonder what the hell are they doing - the characters Adrian Brody and Sarah Polley played - and the girl who played the grown up Dren i thought was fantastic! Really creeped me out.

It's not a horror film but it will make your skin crawl.

More like this please!

It said in the trailer the most original film of the past decade. im sure the guy meant most unoriginal film of the past decade. its basically a rehash of speices.

That doesn't mean anything, his name was attached as a producer on that Kim Bassinger rubbish called While She Was Out...

But not saying Splice is rubbish. Just doesn't always mean a film will be good just because an amazing film maker has his name attached to a film.

Annoying that it seems to have stopped showing everywhere in Manchester at the moment yet I can still see Twilight Eclipse, Shrek Ever After or even Alice in Wonderland if I wanted to!

Same problem for me.

I want to see this film, but I can't find anywhere that is showing it in Manchester today.

The nearest showing appears to be at Cheshire Oaks which is about 40 miles away!
