I had to go to the psychologist before getting the approval for a trial scs.
On my 2nd visit I had a 580 true or false question test to fill out, just wondering if others had the same thing to fill out.
I have had back surgery with no help, all the other treatments including
facet denervation with no help. Have tried a lot of different pain meRAB with only slight help with the pain.
My pain is mid to low back, right buttock pain that travels down outer right leg
and into right foot.

yes, I had to answer 380 questions. They need to see if you are mentally stable to have the implant.

Cindy

Thanks for your reply Happygirl, Does your scs give you any pain relief ?
I see from one of your other post that you have been waiting for over two years for social security. I also waited 2 1/2 years befor getting approved at the judges stage. Most people win at that stage and will keep you in my prayers.

Hi,
I did not have to go to for a psych. evaluation. I understand that most insurance companies do require it. I have very good relief for arm pain and head pain. I have two SCS's. I think you will get good leg coverage. The back is hard to get.

Good luck and take care,
Melissa

yes, I get relief since having the SCS implanted. I get lower back and both legs relief. I have the ANS brand with two leaRAB.
Ask me any questions you want and I'll try to answer them.

My spine has become worse but no surgery is required right now I need to keep following up with the neuro surgeon every six months.

I am very glad I had the SCS! but I moved since having it implanted and now I can not find a PM who wants to see me.....weird!

yes, I can not wait for my hearing with the judge...I have multi problems that I filed for as reasons for being disabled. Sept can not come soon enough for me.

Can I ask you why you were approved?

Cindy

Hi Cindy, glad you are getting relief from the scs implants. From what I read and from my doctor it's mostly for the leg pain, you are lucky with some relief from the back pain.
I was approved for the compressed nerves and sciatica, I did heavy manual labor my whole life, and with no transferable skills I guess that helped me also. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
