Spill Your Guts II: What You Think About MB Members' Taste In Music

Here are just a few people who immediately came to mind for me. I'm tired as hell right now so this list is by no means comprehensive or very well written, but here you have it:

Anteater
Definitely pretty different tastes from myself what with the love of prog and all but I think we overlap in our love of weirdness. I've definitely heard some cool stuff from him.

Bulldog
I'm a huge fan this guy's taste too. He's constantly coming out with those albums that I'm been meaning to check out for ages and turn out to be absolute classics.

Jackhammer
There's a lot of overlap between my taste and Jackhammer's so he's one of my favorite people to chat about and trade music with. His tastes are like mine, so yeah they're pretty great. :D

Lucifer Sam
I have a hard time getting a handle on his tastes a lot of the time because I know he loves some great crazy ass music but then he completely abhors similar stuff that I would think he'd be into. Anyway, as one of the only other Foetus fans on here besides myself the guy certainly gets high marks from me.

Molecules
His dubstep thread is what introduced me to and got me into that type of music. So for that alone I'd say I really dig his taste.

Mr. Dave
What can I say, he's a fellow Secret Chief 3 fan. I love it.

SATCHMO
I remeraber back when I first started posting regularly I used to sturable across a lot of old posts by him and think "damn, I wish this guy still posted here". Lucky for me he came back. He's probably the most knowledgeable jazz fan on rab and that's one of my favorite things about him.

Urban Hatemonger
When it come to raw, garagey, ass-kicking rock n roll he has absolutely stellar tastes. Pretty much, if I see him hyping an album or a band, I'm going to give them a listen.

Zarko
Probably the most interesting taste on rab. That's not to say I'm totally entranced by everything he's into but it is always very interesting stuff and frequently kind of off the wall which I really dig. I wish he posted more.

boarRABofcanada: A year younger than me and likes more obscure/respected banRAB than I did at his/her age. Good to see a fellow teenage Canadian on these boarRAB. I like a few of his/her favorite banRAB (GIAA, EITS, AC is aight) but have either not listened to the others or have a neutral opinion towarRAB them. Also, I enjoy metal so boarRABofcanada's taste gets a very large "meh" from me.

I think going on the magical mystery tour bus and starting a We all live in a yellow submarine would quite possibly be the higlight of my life. Something to do before I die! :D I'd love to see Beatles type landmarks around Liverpool, I've seen a few Smiths landmarks around here, there's something nice about seeing infamous things around cities.

Yeah, I can imagine. Even drunk I wouldn't know what to do, how to stand, who to stand with etc. I'd find it really weird, although when I went to see Oasis, there was like what 60,000 people there? And the biggest slag in Manchester managed to find me. I doubt that would happen with a less generic band.

I love the Arctic Monkeys, I'm a bit of a fanboy. WPSITWIN was one of the first few albums that got me into music with guitars, but I still think they have a lot of good albums left in them. The Strokes are an abomination, Is This It is so brilliant and then they just failed ever since. Gheys. I expected great things from them a while ago, especially since they deliver a good live show.

Casual fans are hard ones, if the band aren't good live then the band can lose you, if the band are good live, they can draw you up and make you die hard. Fine line. Yeah LeeRAB is crap, I was gonna go last year but I chose Spain, this year I got invited but there's too much Pop-Punk crap. I was tempted just to see Arcade Fire.

Well on second thought you do like Mastodon.

And I have no idea why indie kiRAB love Mastodon so much. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

that's some of the music i listen to, it doesn't really encompass most of what i actually like. i don't mind people criticizing me, i just didn't understand how you made the connection to dadaism, considering most of the music i listen to is stuff like Meat Puppets & Dinosaur Jr.

that being said i really fuckin love Beefheart. :D
