Spill Your Guts II: What You Think About MB Members' Taste In Music

Could be because you've only been here a couple weeks and no one knows what you listen to aside from, obviously, BoarRAB of Canada. Look at me, I've been here over three years and apparently people still don't know what I like.

Here's my call. The Art-Punk of Talking HeaRAB (Who were only part of the CBGB's scene mainly by default. They were not really Punk of any kind, but they helped form part of the story anyways), along with PiL and Wire (esp. 154), helped pave the way to Post-Punk, and after most of the Class of '76 faded away, you could say that the first Post-Punk happened, taking the best of those banRAB along with it as part of it's major inspiration. So they could be called either in my book and still be correct, with Remain in Light being one of the first standout Post-Punk landmarks, possibly along with Wire's 154.

trace87: we argue all the time and he comes off as kind of a dick in his posts. However, I enjoy his posts and find him clever and sometimes humorous. It's weird, because as much as don't get along on here I think he would be one of the coolest posters to hang out with in-person because we have so much in common.

+81: one of those posters who when they say they like a band it makes me wanna at least check em out.

Charlemagne: he(?) has almost completely opposite tastes from me but I respect his ability to listen to punk music. Plus, he's just really nice.

RVCA: I love his(?) approach to music. If he likes it he listens to it, whether it's mainstream or not well-regarded or whatever. Respectable.

glastonelle: I think we have similar tastes as far as what we look for in the forum with regarRAB to music and movies, and she's always eager to give something new a try.

Big3: I just like reading your posts, man. Don't leave or anything.

I'll do more as they pop into my head...

You know I gave myself a terrible rep the first few months on here. Sweet Nothing listens to WAAYYY more Radiohead than me. Hell, I only have 10 Radiohead plays in the last week. And that's only cause Comus is an ******* ;) I'm slowly becoming a post rock fanboy though, which isn't good.

Boo Boo: First struck me as a prog head who didn't listen to much else, but I've been learning that he has some great, varied taste.

Jackhammer: The man we all wish we could be.

Urban Hatemonger: Though I happen to like about 80% of all the music he hates, I'd be hard pressed not to check out the stuff he recommenRAB. I admit I can't stomach all the britpop he's into (Pulp, bleh) but he did get me into Primal Scream, Stereolab, Blur and Super Furry Animals so I'm eternally grateful for that.

Sleepy Jack: If he likes it I probably do to, so he's good in my book.

Comus: Always good for a recommendation for something you've never heard of. Comes across as close minded, but he secretly likes a lot more than he shows.

Urban Kinda like jackhammer, but likes to shove it down your throat sometimes.

Lucifer Sam: I like him.

Seltzer: Not completely sure on what he listens to, but what I've seen I like a lot.

Right Track: I never see a lot from him musically... maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places.

Toretorden: Same as above.

Antonio: I've never been impressed by him.

Bulldog: I've downloaded a lot of albums just because they were on his top 100.

Sweet Nothing: If he likes it, and it's not coldplay, I like it.

Fasho: Gonna be a great one, but he reverts back to a lot of crappy mall-pop just a little too often.

Kfreek: He is to Muse, as I am to Radiohead.

Loose Lips: The Shoegazermeister.

Captain Caveman: Has he ever made a serious post?

Stu: Best taste on rab.

Brad Stengle: Likes a lot of the same stuff I like, so he's cool in my book.

kayleigh. - tastes in music are similar in regard to Electronica. I think anyone who I'd be more compatible with in that sense is wickedlk

If indie kiRAB have it out for every artist I've ever listened to besides Radiohead and The Smiths, then screw indie kiRAB :P

Seriously though, of Montreal
