Gimme a break, I was a young girl in the late 90s, the Spice Girls were LIFE back then, and girls my age still war over NSync vs BSB (believe it), besides I would much rather be pining for Justin Tiraberlake than Justin ****ing Bieber
I saw them in concert here before they called it quits like 2 years ago. Toronto was their last show I think. I was re-living my pre-teen, manufactured pop music-loving days
I agree with Octane, you really prefer Metallica to Steely Dan...I mean neither are good, but Metallica is so much worse, I'm talking about music they made before the 21st century too.
Alternative and indie are really bogus classifications. It means nothing. Although I use alternative myself sometimes to refer to my taste of music. But I guess it's just human to stick labels onto everything.
But DEVO isn't stupid, maybe you'd know that if you knew anything ABOUT Devo, yeah? Their ****'s a hell of a lot more intelligent than what Conor Oberst bawls about

oh, and i'm 14 years old, and from canada, and i hate metal fans.
Jackhammer: Astonishingly varied and encyclopaedically knowledgeable.
Bulldog: Huge amount of common ground, very strong retro bias however.
Rickenbacker: Pretty much the same as mine, if a bit too Pitchfork at times
Big3KilledMyRainDog: Appealingly eccentric and varied
Urban Hatemonger: For the most part top-notch stuff
TheCunningStunt: Good, if a bit NME at times.
they sound a lot more like battles as a live act. although oddly, live, they sound like battles recorded, and battles live sound nothing like lightning bolt on record. if that makes sense?
earthly delights is probably my favourite album of theirs from what i've heard.
