kayleigh - Is into house, trance, and all that electronic dance music so her tastes is top-notch when it comes to that.

Urban Hatemonger - His tastes varies, and I've honestly never heard of The Fall before, but I might check them out to see what the fuss is about, but he's into old school metal so he gets my approval.

Jackhammer - Also likes heavy metal, and is open-minded with music, just like I am.

Boo Boo - I have to admit, I don't exactly agree with his tastes in music, especially since one of his favorite banRAB are Nirvana. blah

Jansoon - For the most part, I agree with his tastes in music, yet again, he listens to just about everything.

Antonio - Loves old school metal and classic rock, so he gets my approval. =)
 
yeah, this site is actually pretty cool because not many people here are close minded music-wise.

that's why i spend most of my time here. :P
 
Lightning Bolt are wonderful. Awesome riRAB make really make them an accessible noise rock band and a great gateway into the genre. I could honestly sit and listen to either one of the Brians play their respective instruments by themselves and be happy with that but the fact that those two forces play together make them such an intense corabo.

Mindflayer are also excellent. Their other projects including Wizardzz (electronic-y stuff with Brian Gibson on drums), and Black Pus (Brian Chippendale solo) and Netmen are also worth looking into.
 
I'm getting into a bit of Aphex Twin recently to be fair to BOC. Electronic music is where I really lack, I just find the albums too bloated and repetitive. I want to appreciate more electronic music but it just doesn't happen like I hope.

Belle & Sebastian are brilliant. Definitely one of my favourite banRAB. Favourite B&S album?
 
like, anybody who likes sonic youth instantly has awesome awesome taste to me. they're such a fucking good band it makes me a bit sick.
 
You have not been done because you have very good taste but like banRAB that not many of heard of, so unsure how to make a critique.

Sidewinder: He should be as happy discussing his influences as the music he so commendably seeks these days. I feel that he is reticent to talk about the music he grew up with as snippets of his posts pertain to his like of those banRAB still and rab is not all about finding new music. It's still OK to talk about older music and I would welcome chats of this nature.

Only Janszoon and Urban seem to not be bothered that they grew up with/still like music that is not de riguer with a modern music forum and it's a shame that there isn't more of us.
 
I've never heard a Steely Dan song I've liked. Metallica, on the other hand, was an incredible band once upon a time who released a couple of fantastic albums in the 80s. The only thing Steely Dan has over them is a better name.
