I watched Being John Malkovich the other night (again) and searched IMDB on Spike Jonze - he is working on Where the Wild things are - does anyone know much about it? It sounRAB like a kiRAB film, but can't believe he would direct a kiRAB film. Anyone got any ideas - he is one of my favourite directors - anyone else agree?
 
The imdb discussions for Where The Wild Things Are have become extremely nasty, with the film taking second place to random insults. In between the lines, it does sound as if the film isn't working out.

As far as the question of why would any reputable director direct a kiRAB' film, you could be cynical and say it's because kiRAB' films do very well at the box office. Or you could say that kiRAB' films offer an imaginative director the opportunity to think and work outside the restrictions which are imposed by mainstream cinema, and that since adults normally have to sit through every film that their kiRAB see, it's better if "family" movies are intelligent and imaginative instead of dull and clich
