spiderman's future

How do you see the future of the spiderman franchise panning out?

I've heard that neither the actors of director want to be in a fourth but that doesn't mean to say that there won't be. I personally would only want it to carry on if everyone stayed on board. I would also only want it to carry on if there was a good story and good villains. If not they should really round off all the plots in this upcoming third film.

I think that they should either end on the third with hobgoblin as one of the villains to round off the Osbourne plot from the beginning - although from the rumours this seems unlikely.

If they don't do that they should do 6 films with a new villain in each, but none of them killed so they can return in the final sixth film as the Sinister Six, which seems to have been a big part of the comic. Luckily there was never confirmation that Dr. Octopus was dead so he could easily return. I think it should then be revealed that Harry Osbourne / hobgoblin had employed all of these villains to finish Spiderman off.

However, I think that they should avoid any of the villains like the lizard as i think they would look a bit wierd and unrealistic on screen.

All I hope is that however many sequels they make they are all decent and not cringeworthy.

Thought Osbourne was going to be the new Green Goblin (like his father) and not the Hobgoblin, who was a totally different character in the comics (Havent picked up a spider-man comic in about 20 years like)

the exec from sony who "handles" spiderman said its the last one but if they make enough money via boxoffice/dvd's/merch then it wont be. its all about money.

there seems to be a new breed of "cult" director/writers coming through and even if sam rami doesnt want to write/direct i am sure they will pay him enough to produce or at least give a stearing hand to the production.

new spiderman... hmmm i can see the guy who did donnie darko do this. he is older now but in the film he really showed that vunrable side. also how about the actor who was napoleon dynamite!!! how great would that be.

he could get a co-writer!

and yes she is ugly, not what Mary Jane should look like at all MJ is supposed to be sexy, not well, dead looking!

I like all the actors. I don't think she is ugly.

The alternative actor you are talking about - Jake Gyllanhael - is 26 so only 5 years younger than tobey. I would prefer a bit of continuity - I don't care how old he is. Pierce Brosnan was Bond until he was 49 and in my opinion he was the best and proves age has nothing to do with it. Tobey looks young anyway.
