I don't know what to expect from this film.

Maybe spiderman will be his 30's this time round?

The villian could be the Lizard? Maybe the remaining symbiote piece of Venom could lead to Carnage?

Isn't Venom said to be having his own film?

Spiderman 3 is on sunday so it will be interesting to see how they can continue from it.
 
I'm betting they will reign it in a bit. Sequels have a tendancy to always try and out-do the last one, in terms of spectacle, until they implode under their own weight. Spiderman 3 was approaching this (or fell right over the edge, depending on your personal view of the film).

I expect 4 will be like a pseudo-reboot; with the story and character retaining continuity with the previous films, but them settling everything down, so they can start the "ramping up" again.

My guess; we will have a single villain once more and far more focus on a more mature relationship between Peter and MJ. There's also a rumour floating around that a casting sheet for the film calls for a 2-year-old boy with red hair - so perhaps we'll be seeing a spiderling, too (which worries me a bit. See Superman Returns for details as to why. SuperkiRAB are usually a bad idea)

However, I'm actually one of the few people who seemed to enjoy Spiderman 3, so I remain confident that I'll enjoy the next film - just so long as we maintain the same cast.
