The plot summary i have read is like so:
Eddie Brock is hired as a new photographer and journalist for the Daily Bugle, peter parker is fired.
Tensions grow between peter parker and mary jane, perhaps due to new love interest Gwen Stacey.
The main villain Sandman is after spidey as like doc oc in the second one and eventually being killed off.
Second villain is Green Goblin 2, Harry Osbourne takes over his fathers job after finding the suit and glider in the 2nd film and seeks his final revenge on Peter Parker/Spiderman once and for all.
Spiderman also contracts a lifeform called a symbiot transforming his suit black. 3/4 into the film spiderman is trying to identify if eddie brock has some skeletons in his closet. He is basically hanging above in a church over brock. The symbiot detaches and falls on eddie brock, the symbiot has absorbed some of spidermans powers and transforms and takes over eddie brock and turning him into the anti-villain venom.
