Just a little note to say that the uk release date of may has now changed to june 14th. And there's a new trailer with with lots of never-before-seen footage online march 27th

Good picture Here

Don't suppose you know if it's been given a BBFC certification yet, or is it still too early???

I see it's PG13 in the US.

Just asking because my youngest wants to see it. :)

Dave.

Still to early, but My guess is that columbia pictures will want as many people as possable to see the movie. so i guess they will give it a 12 cert .

Oh, good news the dvd is set for release in the uk in november. it will be a 2 disc set .
"Spider-Man DVD will be "the benchmark by which all other DVRAB are going to be compared to". said Columbia pictures World Wide DVD Content Manager, Javiar Soto

There'll be a feature on Disc One that will be very much in the line with the history of "Spider-Man", but will do something on the DVD set-top side that has never been done before.

The BBFC has given spider-man a 12 cert. with a note. (Contains) some scenes of strong fantasy violence.

NO cuts where made to the film.

i cannot wait to see this film, altho i wish they had picked someone different for the lead. that dudes face really annoys me. he should stick to 'cider house rules' style films.

And why is it breaking recorRAB? COS ITS AWESOME!

Just seen it, am very impressed... and saw a trailer for the incredible hulk before it, and that looks awesome as well! (comes out summer 2003 tho :()

Just seen it too myself. And the trailer for Hulk - That will be some movie. Nice to know also that Spiderman 2 is now in the process of being made.

As a side note, anyone else who's seen it think the editor and sound guy should be shot for allowing so many "mic dropping into shot" bits.....?

D.P.
Very sleepy, run out of witty comments....

Just watched it and thought it was a big letdown. The first 50 odd mins are kewl, but the last half of the film seems rushed. Theres no real build up to the goblin being spidermans nemesis. In fact the goblin isn't much of a villain in the film at all. :(

Saying that MJ in the rain... oh yeah :D

hiya guys just seen spider-man at a priview screening at the local odeon and i must say i was well impressed by the sript and the acting i thought dafoe is brilliant as the green goblin and should win best supporting oscar next year kirsten dunst is just hot!!! the infamous ally sceen is too short lol:-) i am going back to see it again on thursday just to get a more balanced opinion but this film rocks go see it you wont be dissapointed

kenneth :D

well, apparently spiderman is one of the top 10 films of mistakes, continuity errors and stuff like that (70).

Apparently The Matrix is number one for mistakes (150+), altho i havent seen any :)

I have just been to see it today.

I have never read any Spiderman comics so I do not know how close it is to the original idea. However, I thought it was really good with truly amazing special effects. It was sort of like watching a comic with the way they spoke and acted. There are some glaring holes where you think a character would have questioned something eg like a lad hearing evil laughter from upstairs not asking his Dad what was going on but if you take everything with a pinch of salt and don't think too much about it, it is really enjoyable. I will be buying it on dvd so that says a lot. Anyone know of a projected release date for the UK?

I would suspect that a sequel will come judging by the amount of money it has already taken at the box office in America.

Anyone been on the Spiderman ride at IslanRAB of Adventure, Orlando? This is a thrilling ride.
