Loved the friendship and dynamic as well^ Harry and MJ never went out though right? My bf said they were engaged but that was her fianceé from SM2...

haha love that animation always and GREAT mag covers :)

Although I didn't think she fits what I think Mary Jane looks like, I think Kirsten does a better job with her in this movie than in the other two.

And if she doesn't come back, it'll be weird without her (same applies for Maguire); however, I think Mary Winstead from Grindhouse looks the part, but her acting is iffy. I'm hoping to see it again this weekend since there isn't a decent movie coming out and I missed a chunk of the first Harry/Peter fight.

I definitely did not. Yes, she had a right to be upset about the kiss. I still don't agree that that gave her an excuse to be a total bitch, because it didn't mean anything and it was just for show and she KNEW it. Still, I think she was justified to feel a bit hurt in THIS context.

However, it was awfully apparent that at the end of the day it was not Gwen Stacy she was jealous of - it was Peter. Peter got applause, Peter had fans, Peter got attention, and MJ wanted all this. Her attitude was less about the kiss and more about how petty she was and how SHE wanted to be the famous star in their relationship. Not cool.

I enjoyed the movie way more than I expected to once I heard the mixed reviews. I didn't get a chance to see it until the Monday after its opening weekend, and everyone around me was talking about it, some in a positive way, others in a negative way.

I loved most of the film. It did have quite a few "WTF?" moments that threw me out of it, though, that the earlier films didn't have. The biggest cringe worthy moment for me was the reporter and newscaster during the battle royale. Didn't need either of them in there to tell the audience that it was serious doom and gloom. The fight itself did that really well. I didn't like how it interrupted the emotional moments of Peter reaching towards MJ as he thinks he's going to die, and Harry coming to help Peter.

Speaking of Harry, he's the character I loved most in this movie. I loved him so much that he made the movie for me. He's the one I felt the most for, and when he showed up at the end and saved Peter....that was my favorite moment in the film. The Peter/Harry enemies/friendship storyline was my favorite part about this one. I also enjoyed the Peter/MJ/Harry dynamic, too.

The part in which Peter is taken over by the sybiote and suddenly becomes "cool" was amazing. I think I laughed through the whole thing. :)

Tax incentives for Movie productions have been working great for a lot of places.

Thanks for the articles!! :yay: I'm SO excited for Spider-Man 4 and I'm glad it's happening with Sam Raimi and Toby Maguire! :yay: I wouldn't want it any other way, I have to say.

Oh he was definitely a huge part of film and I liked the ending where they helped each other but to saw he was best part or the best actor in the film is going a bit too far IMO.

I agree cuz i felt the exact same way:) - it was just WRONG what peter what doing!!:( i didnt find him evil @ all just a total @$$-whole but a funny one @ that haha:lol:

I think some of the plot twists were a little ridiculous. I was pretty disappointed, but I thought it was pretty well acted everything aside.

Sony Officially Signs Director and Star for Spider-Man 4… and 5?

Spider-Man 4 Aims for 2010 Start Date | Film School Rejects

The inside source says Sony is seriously considering filming parts four and five simultaneously, a la Back to the Future 2/3 and The Matrix 2/3. The reasoning is financially based (like most decisions with this franchise) although future scheduling concerns are sure to play a part as well. The Shrill Snaggletooth (aka Kirsten Dunst) has not yet signed on, but expect that to change by next fall. The villain (or villains…) has not yet been announced, although the source says “once you find out who the villain is, you’ll know who’s playing it.” That quote leads most people to think Dylan Baker’s Dr. Curt Connors will be growing a tail to play The Lizard for the sequel.

Spider-Man 4 Aims for 2010 Start Date
Posted by Cole Abaius ([email protected]) on January 19, 2009

Seven years after helping to spark the Comic Book Film explosion, we’re getting reports now that the webslinger is looking to get in front of the camera by 2010 - ultimately setting sights for a May 2011 release.

J.K. Simmons told MTV Movies Blog that he’d be returning for his role as J. Jonah Jameson and gave notice of the proposed start date. The conversation apparently went down at Sundance, so I have to assume it took place in a bathroom somewhere.

It seems like everything is on track with David Lindsay-Abaire bringing his Pulitzer caliber to the screenwriting job, a start date, and a release date all in the works. Now, we’ll have to wait and see how many villains and dance numbers the film can pump into 140 minutes.

Spider-Man 4 Heading To Michigan
Most updated news for Sam Rami himself

Given that the auto industry doesn't seem particularly long for this world, Michigan is following in the footsteps of several other states and establishing tax incentives for movie and TV productions. They've attracted hometown boy Sam Raimi for his upcoming low-budget thriller Room 205, but he might consider spending a whole lot more money in the state for Spider-Man 4.

Raimi told Michigan paper The Oakland Press that he's beginning production on Spider-Man 4 in 2010 and will look back to his home state for shooting locations. "I’ll be looking at Michigan for our second-unit photography on the new Spider-Man film." Apparently some parts of Spider-Man 3 were filmed in Cleveland, which makes it less of a stretch that Spidey's New York could be recreated in the Midwest.

I still have trouble believing Spider-Man 4 is actually going to happen, though maybe that's just me being in denial. But hey, if they're going to spread around a ton of money to make a sequel no one really asked for, they may as well bring it to one of the most economically depressed states in the nation.

While the plot does seem a bit too much for one movie, I liked this one more than the second one. And it's nice to see the character development on Harry. :)

[SP]It is kinda a bit much though that in all 3 movies, Spiderman must always save MJ from some villian while she falls and screams.[/SP]

Four of out five moviegoers AROUND THE WORLD saw SM3 this weekend...crazy.

I saw this movie..hardcore. I loved it.

Harry/James was excellent and I think he had a huge part as messing up Peter/MJ for a bit and finally becoming friends with Peter and dying..but I wouldn't go as far as saying he was the best part of the film. He did help quite a bit though ;)

Anyway, I loved it all..hardcore MJ/Peter shipper now

Those numbers are amazing! But seriously, who didn't see that coming? And you're welcome for the new thread:)

Now I may get skewered here but I need to ask... Why do a lot of people think that James Franco was the best part of the film. Don't get me wrong... The man is hot as hell and I enjoyed watching him but every time he opened his mouth after he lost his memory I laughed. Everyone in the midnight showing I was in laughed. He was a prime example of bad acting in that movie. Not only did he lose his memory but he forgot how to function as an actual human being. I watched Spider-Man today and he didn't act that way as Harry in the first one so someone saying he became his old self would be wrong. I just don't understand why Sam Raimi would think he was doing a good job. It was kind of embarrassing.

I couldnt agree more!!heee as i said JAMES OWNS!!!:thud:
the best part outta SM3 in my opinion!;):sigh:
thank you for the new thread!:)
