Spice and Wolf

Episode 12

Lots of action this episode. Lawrence and Co. manage to get the gold, but they are attacked by a pack of wolves, among them a giant one like Horo (although she calls him young). Also, Nora has proven herself capable in warding off one encounter with wolves, but I still think that she looks innocent and naive. Lawrence manages to get suckered again - it makes me wonder how he can ever be a successful merchant if his partners keep double-crossing him.

Horo looked amazing in this screenshot (that I stole off a blog, since Ayako didn't release yet).

Also, last episode next week. The chance of a second season is very high, although I really hope that everything can be concluded next episode. Spice and Wolf is a great little series, and it works well being 13 episodes. It's one of those gems that you sturable across now and then, and somehow I feel that a second season will dull its lustre.

Brilliant end to a wonderful series. Actualy glad there was no confessing to be done as it left the series wide open for a 2nd part which I hope so bad they do. Love this series so much

I liked the animation and the storyline is very interesting. The Nudity in the first episode wasn't enjoyable.. but since she started wearing his clothing I'll check out the next episode too. Seems like an interesting series.

^Admit it, you were referring to Horo as the gem and not the anime. Just kidding. I agree with the 2nd season dulling, I just can't seem to think of anything else that would be interesting leading up to Horo going back to the north.l

Also Lawrence was quite successful before he made the fatal mistake, which is probably leading to the worst time of his life.

Episode 12

Lawerence got backstabbed, not surprising really; Horo is fighting some big 'youngester'. To be honest, the best part of Horo (other than the tail and ears ) is her eyes. Red and deep, reminRAB me so much of a something out of the Vampire Moka in the Manga.

I love the ED! (I've used OP to mean Opening, and ED to mean Ending.)

Episode 09

They got to learn more about Nora, and her predicament with the Church. Enke (the dog) definitely knows what's up. I wonder what was with the reactions to his armor from Polson? They should make a merchant based MMORPG loosely based of this, that'd be cool.

episode 11: nice make up for my despair in last episode. In the end Lawrence only manage to collect about 3 Rumione by night, go back home and see Horo already in bed. It's almost as if he's giving up the hope of collecting the remaining 24 Rumiones (except the last resort: Garabling den), give the money to Horo and ask her to escape. Horo calls him back and is getting mad because Lawrence is too softy and didn't blame her for what happened in the past episode. But in the end they essentially back on good term. I love the hugging scene, Horo's tail!!!1 Her wagging TAIL!!! lolz :3

then as we predicted, Horo come out with a wicked plan, this time they manage to convince Lemerio to cooperate with them in gold smuggling, and the person responsible for that task is none other than Nora (finally we see her back~). Lawrence and Horo negotiate with Nora and carefully explain the risk and reward of the task. That's some plan, hiding the gold in the sheep's stomach. I wonder how is that possible lol. Giving the tasks was fairly dangerous (and thus the very ig reward), driving y the bad/distrustful behaviors of the church, Nora finally accept the tasks...

overall this is another nice episode, lots of nice tail :3 Horo plan is risky, but I guess it's worth to try compared to indulging with the garabling den. Nora always remind me of Nagisa whenever she talks. I'm wondering a bit though, is it really possible to complete the gold smuggling mission within a day?

and the last scene about Lemerio, seems like he's up to something not good. I hope Lawrence won't be badly tricked again after this.

What can be said about episode 12 that has'nt been already? Very sad to see this series finish next week. I'll be out of anime to watch soon. Sketchbook finished, Minami-ke Okawari is nearly done, Rosario+Vampire is almost done and now Spice and Wolf

I wonder if this anime will have a second season? I wonder how they'll end it at this rate..There are 7 volumes of the light Spice and Wolf novels, so there must be still quite a bit of material that could be covered if there was a second season.

Really, I just want more Horo! Only 4 episodes to go. When I read the synopsis of this series before I started it I honestly thought it wouldn't be that interesting. Now it's one of my season favourites.

Also, in episode 9, why did everybody avoid Nora? Something superstitious to do with shepherRAB? It looks like the next couple of episodes will be a bit faster paced, as the last scene had a potential villian. Episode 9 was sort of slow, but still enjoyable.

RF, I already put up the article...but that's okay.

As for the light novel. If you read it, it just says, "Although a North American license for the anime has not been announced yet, Yen Press did acquire the original light novels for English translation." At press time Yen Press aquired the light novels. No date yet.

Well they did have a little bag about the size of a small ball. She only ate a little bit of wheat the first time around. But I guess she did it out of concern for herself. I wonder if she could just add more wheat to the bag or have a few bags tied around her waist or something.

They will probably go for 2nd season if i'm not mistaken..
their journey just got halfway and it ended though i liked it cuz it's a Happppppy ending.

I think there will still be a fare amount of fanservice/nudity in upcoming episodes. Mainly because the animation studio that is working on Spice and Wolf has been involved in a nuraber of fanservice type anime in the past. Hopefully they don't go overboard with the fanservice to the point that it interferes with the story, which has potential. I liked the vibe the first episode gave off, and will continue with Spice and Wolf. I think this anime has a lot of promise.

I love this show. Too bad theres only a few episodes left. I hope there is a second season. I mean who wouldnt want more of Horo?

Episode 10

Damn, leaving out Ep7 makes naming that much confusing. Anyway, great plot development in this episode. We also see another side to Horo - what's with switching to calling Lawrence "Master?" They could've dropped the act after visiting the guild. In any case, my guess is that Nora will come and save the day. Otherwise, why introduce her?

My Horo-cuteness contribution for this episode:
