Spice and Wolf

One good thing about the first 6 episodes, it did a great job introducing the characters. It gave us a great story that wasn't one of those life-threating/end of the world plots. Now that the intros are over time for the bulk of the stories to being. I can't wait.

Oh, and Horo is still cute...even in wolf form.

I think this series has sort of a mystical vibe I get from some anime. The first episode was nothing special but I can see it becoming very interesting much like Mushi-shi.

Is outro even a word? I agree with you though - I hate it when artists singing in another language (be it Japanese or French) feel the need to include English worRAB/phrases. Stick to one language, please.

That being said, I'm probably going to wait for Ayako to release Episode 09, since I really don't want to watch it on Youtube again. Horo deserves more than dinky Youtube res.

I miss Ayako's speed-sub days.

So, guys, anyone see Lawrence's situation projected in real life?

Lawrence - Bear Stearns
His Armour - the American subprime mortgage market

Lawrence bought poor gooRAB on credit. Bear Stearns wanted to do some volatile trading. Lawrence owes somebody a lot of money. Bear Stearns owes a lot of people a lot of money. Lawrence gets screwed over by that company with a lifetime's work in mines. Bear Stearns gets screwed over by JP Morgan with $2 / share.

This was actually the first thing that popped into my mind after I heard about the acquisition on the news this morning. Another reason why I absolutely love Spice and Wolf. Also, Horo is cute, for the millionth time.

i finished the series and its in my top ten of all time favorite anime. I wish it was longer tho...has ne1 heard news of a second season? i hope there is one because i really enjoyed it

Neko, if you get the .mkv version of S&W there was a clip about what happened to the armor. It had nothing to do with volitile trading.

Well when you decide to take that very same anime to school, the matter won't be trivia anymore. By the way, I was fine with Elfen Lied's nudity. However I get really angry whenever there is any in this anime. I dunno, it kinda depenRAB on the anime I guess. However, I do like the story itself. Plus by reading the manga, I realized the anime pretty much miniumized the nudity. lol

Anyways, I like back ground music, already. It makes me feel like I was watching some fairy tale cartoon from Disney, except it's for more mature audiences. But I'm kinda disapointed at how the anime moved things around and changed some of the things I really liked from the manga/novel.

So, uh, can we consider Horo a tsundere? Her cuteness would increase exponentially.

I'm bringing this up because while she acts indifferent to Lawrence's ventures, it's evident that she has the hots for him.

BSS are pretty decent, plus they please me with their MKV option. Ayako has been to slow XD

I'm not sure if outro is a word, but I use it anyway o.0 I prefer it over ED and OP.

I agree, music has far too many randomly interspersed worRAB from other languages, but that's all just taste, plenty of other people seem to like it XD
I wonder when the OST comes out...

^ Really? I can't understand why the fansubbers would leave out a clip on an XviD encode, but include it in the H.264 version. Think you can spoiler tag that and post it?

And I didn't actually mean to say that Lawrence's armour-trading was volatile; I just wanted to draw a parallel between the bad judgement calls of both groups. Although, what Lawrence is doing is speculating in commodities, which implies a certain degree of volatility.

Still, I found it pretty shocking that Spice and Wolf was the first thing that came to my mind.

Wow,what a very good show,I'm at episode 8 and I'm loving it!

Horo is simply cute and I don't want this series to have an ending

Hope they make 2nd season :P

Episode 01 was a good start, it set up things nicely. It's good to see an anime in an older time period. Adding this one to my list, can't wait to see what happens next.

Yeah, I just started watching this because subs from my regular set of shows have slowed to a trickle. Truth be told, I really didn't think I'd like this, but after episode 1 I'm loving it.

Is there ever a time where we get to see a full view of Horo's transformed state? If memory serves, episode 1 just showed some fur, maybe a leg.

omggg...i can't believe it ended...at first i was a bit skeptical at the furry but it turns out to be one of the best animes i've seen in the past yearish :P
