Spice and Wolf

There's an interesting loophole. And it's even believable! (unlike those "college girls" we hear so much about... *murable*stupid americans*murable*)

Horo might even be more cute than shana *gasp*.

It's the tail i think. Unless shana starts pouting *agonizes over decision*.

This isnt kodomo no jikan, but there is a disturbing ammount of fanservice. IMO it's the only reason she has a tail (for "nude" fanservice aka, tail hides her "thighs" and her hair hides her bosom). Those crafty chikan artists.

I really like it, I have high hopes for this anime ^^ The genres are perfect for my taste in Anime. It seems like a 12 episode anime, I wish it would be 26 Ah well, I think Horo quite beautiful in those clothes though

Episode 11

I tend to agree with Horo about Nora, i think she's really more of a wolf in sheeps clothing than anything. I think we need to give her more credit, she's not durab she knows what shes doing. It was a good episode, i never would have thought of that solution, but it makes good (and historically accurate) sense. This is rapidly becoming my most looked forward to series.

When horo showed her mouth, it reminded me of Claymore for a second. lol
I sort of wished she would've done more than just scaring chloe. Gah, chloe is so retarded. She thinks so oh so mature, but at the end, she's just too childish.....

Ok, my spotlight in offically on Spice Wolf now. Horo is certainly a unique female hybrid with a personality that is full of win. She has the body of a typical teenage girl but has a personality that is a mix between a young adult and a wise elder and as far as shame goes, she lacks it and haves a pridelike smile. She is after all 250 years old. Great anime so far and im looking forward to seeing it threw.

Horo is just cute period..but then I don't want to call a 600 year old wolf spirit cute. Babies are cute, puppies are cute, Horo is definately attractive.

I don't know if she got jealous or she saw how Lawerance reacted to the attractive shepard girl/witch and definately saw something wrong there.

Someone mentioned the novels upthread, but I thought I should mention that the manga is only now being published. Vol. 1 just came out within the last few days. As I figured, they're a good deal more fanservice-y with Horo's nakedness in the first part. That wasn't surprising, but it was a little disappointing, in a way. She's a kind of god, so I didn't think she really needed all the, ahem, features defined. Still, she doesn't turn up like that very much in the 13 eps of the anime, so I'm hoping the same holRAB true for the comic, and that the fan service is kept to a minimum. The relationship between Horo and Lawrence is what kept me tuning it, and it'd be a shame for the comic to ruin that by throwing in too much completely uncessary fan service.

I just saw the first two episodes. I'm liking what I see so far, it's interesting and looks like the plot could really progress.

I also like the intro, it's quite different from the usual.

Edit: About the nudity; I think it's all in taste of the anime, it's not really in your face and fanservice esque like some series.

This show just never gets boring for me. Horo just keeps getting cuter. Like how she got jelious when Lawrence was speaking to Nora, so she kept getting closer to him and pinched him when he said bad things about wolves.

Of course. That's the only reason why they'd do it. DVD sales will definitely spike up. There are quite a few series, at least recently, that have put special episodes (usually involving A LOT of fanservice) only on the DVD releases.

And episode 13 just aired a bit ago, I can't wait to see how they end this anime.

Just watched the first episode and I like what I see. Hope the rest of series is just as good. btw did anyone else think Holo looks like Nyu from elfen lied?

Agreed on all points. It's a very good representation of the power of the Catholic Church wielded during the middle ages. Instead of being the church of Christ, it was more the Church of Man which was no different than any other kingdom. That political statment aside, the merchants guild and trading aspect was also well represented. The author of S&W really did his homework. This series has been very enjoyable even from an economics point of view.

Horo is still cute, especially when she wanted to hold Lawerance's hand. I think she really likes him. You can tell because he tail moved a lot, like a dog does when it loves it's owner.

Lawerance reminRAB me a bit of me. He can't tell if people are just teasing him to lighten the situation and he takes it seriously, even to seriously.
