Spice and Wolf 2

So today it was subbed and it's wonderful to have Horo back again. Cute as ever I must say. The whole episode was just about Horo and Lawrence pretty much with some Nola thrown in at beginning and end.

As said the whole episode is about Horo pretty much starting to realize she has feelings for Lawrence (I assume). The part where Horo whacks her head on the bunk when she hears Lawrence has some apple cider for her was so funny. Not to mention the resulting watery eyed follow up was so damn cute! However I do have 1 question.

Why does Nola not freak out about seeing ears on Horo? Does she know she's a wolf god or something? I don't remeraber seeing that in the 1st season although maybe I just don't remeraber

Can't wait for #2 to come out... there IS a #2 right?

Duuuude! I have so many animes to watch I don't know where am I now . I'm just waiting till there will be more eps out.

Well, at the end of season one, Horo is running around pwning people in her wolf form. And she tells Nola that her dog wasn't flirting with her, but that he knew her true form, as if Nola already knew.

That was some season 2 opener OVA. The actual season 2 doesn't start until July

just as ornette said at the end of season one horo was wolf form for lyk almost the whole episode she almost attacked nola so itz to be expected that she knew bout it. Why is this series so interesting i mean horo is just too cute.

I stopped watching the first season of this on about episode 6, not because it was bad, but because I was super busy with other things, I'll try to catch up sometime soon for the second season as the first was quite enjoyable.

Oh god, I'd forgotten how adorable Horo is. I loved the first season.

Still, I'd like to see some plot development in Season 2.

Episode 3 is out and quite a bit happens.
Amarti proclaims his love for horo (thinking she is a debt bound nun) and has a contract ready for lawrence to agree to. Amarti will pay off her non existant debt of 1000 silver and propose to Horo and it'll be up to her who she chooses to stay with. Like a moron lawrence agrees to this because I guess he thinks "wow I can make a ton of cash from this!" Things majorly backfire though when a letter arrives for Lawrence and he gives it to Horo to hold onto while he goes out. It seems she lied about not being able to read and after finding out that Youitsu is destroyed she has a bit of a break down.

She says she is alone and asks if Lawrence would mate with her so there'd be 2 of them. I guess Lawrence must be gay because he turns her down and he never corrects her when she says she is nothing to him. She then says she isn't alone actually because she has someone who truly loves her (Amarti). Still without correcting her or saying anything at all, the huge idiot leaves the room. What a money hungry poof. The next week preview shows Amarti and Horo about to kiss so it seems things may get pretty sad for awhile. Perhaps the rest of this season will be Horo and Lawrence split up and the finale will find them back traveling together again

I really wish these stupid, moronic male lead characters would just vanish. Sure he is smart about merchant stuff but why are 98% of guys in anime just brainless idiots when it comes to romance? Lawrence you are a huge tool. The girl you like is yelling at you saying stuff like "I'm nothing to you" and what do you do? You say nothing and then run off like a coward. Grow a pair and man up you little turd.

Episode 3:

Finally, a kick-start to the season begins; seems like the previous two were just building up towarRAB this. As usual, I love these kind of linkings from past to present to future. Anyways, again the animation quality dropped just a tad bit again but the BGMs are still as "epic" as ever. Good thing they got rid of the stupid fade-away scenes. But Horo's hysteria was quite disturbing.

Great episode, if you guys want to start watching the 2nd Season now. The, what others deem, "boring" episodes are now over and it now ties into something exciting once more. From what I was talking about in my last post, they decided to bring in the biggest gem of genres, Drama. Excellent.

I disagree. If we did not have these stupid, moronic male protagonists, the story would go nowhere near as exciting. Put it this way:

Horo: "What am I to you?!"
Lawrence: "You are my beloved _________________"
Horo: Oh, I love you too, you are _______________________"

How boring would that be, assuming there was even a stunned silence inbetween responses? You're comparing Lawrence's personality and values into the real world. Don't. Everything is done for dramatic effect in a storyline and not supposed to compared to values in real world society. If, as you said, 98% of male protagonists are brainless idiots at Romance and is often found in most anime; maybe think to yourself why they are like that. Because they (animators, original creators of sources of where anime comes from etc.) don't usually do it for no reason.

But do tell me those protagonists from those 2% of the anime that are not moronic in their Romance. I either expect it to either be filled with Drama from other sources; a Romantic / Slice of Life, or even School Life as well, Shoujo; not filled with a guy with X amount of girls surrounding him.

ugh, how am I going to afford MORE spice and wolf stuff T_T I already have over $800 in the first 6 DVD's, two figures, a pillow case, trading carRAB, and a beach towel T_T

ooh and Lawrence and Holo (yeah, some say horo, others say holo, but all the licensed merchandise i bought says "Holo") better hook up this season. I was disappointed they didnt in the first season.

The first season was such an amazing anime, I loved Horo so much. Can't wait for this one, Horo seems to have developed more feelings? At least that was the feel I got from the teaser. This one is defiantly on the top of my list to see in the future.

^Not to mention it's easy on the sidelines to make commentary...it's much different when you're in the situation with the distraught hysterical girl on your hanRAB.

Either way this series never disappoints, i think his merchant savviness has been going down considerably since he met Horo. He hasn't really been smart about any of his investments. They never showed them departing from the Shepard girl either, she just disappeared in the next episode...was a bit strange. I thought that Deanna was another wolf in disguise at first with her blue blue eyes.
