Spell Check?

I'm coming from a Blackberry and Palm. Thinking of getting the HTC Supersonic when it comes out on Sprint. Can anyone tell me if the Android OS has a spell checker?

It has predictive text, so you can select the correctly spelt word if you're using the virtual keyboard. It doesn't have an OS based Spell Checker though. Some apps have spell checkers in them, but as far as I know spell checkers are either included in the app (rarely), or you don't have one.

I don't know much about this. but, I heard that Virtual keyboard doesn't have OS based spell checker. I think, you can search on Google too...
