Well I finally got chance to finish putting on my rearsets. Ive been travelling a little had something else demanding my spare time.
Same issues people have already mentioned. These would be a great design of rear sets on an unfaired bike. But on the 1098 the clashes with the fair takes away a lot of the adjustability that the design offers. Get the exact position you want adjust the tie rods according and check the belly fairing doesn't clash.
After a little messing about I actually got them set up quite well and they do look impressive. Not sure I'm a fan of the tie rod on the outer for the brake. But it's the only way I could stop it clashing with the belly.
The brake adapter that comes with the kit is about 2mm too wide as stated above. this means it claps when you tighten the bolt. I found a nice size washers that did the rick and allows the adapter to rotate freely while the bolt is torqued up.
I leave my verdict for a bit as I've only done a little safety ride and need a good run out.

I too tried to live with them but for the price I should not have to work around, modify, and scrape my bike up. I am returning mine today. Please do yourself a favor, do buy or recommend these rear sets to anyone you would consider a friend. Probably wont be your friend once they arrive and it is noticed how flimsy the shift and brake levers are. To me it seems speedymoto did not design these rear sets with a 1098 / 1198 to test fit them on. The brake adapter is the incorrect size and the whole tie-rod system hits and rubs on the bike which take away alot of the ability to be adjustable. On the other hand they do look great but I am one of those guys where looks dont make it run and chrome wont get you home. In closing for the price speedymoto charges there needs to be some additional R&D for the 1098 / 848/ 1198 bikes. I would like to work with speedymoto to develop a Version 2 of their rear sets.
