Randy,
I called speedymoto at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm which would be 3 hours behind for them making my first call come in at 10am their time.

Ok everybody,

Christian at SpeedyMoto just got back to me with all the answers we should need:

1. The healguards and pegs are in fact anodized, and as pictured they are anodized in a flatter black then the main body of the rearsets.

2. The pegs have to be anodized before the springs can be installed, and due to the strength of these springs and the way in which they have to be installed, they sometimes put a slight mark in the peg surface. This issue will be corrected for future sets.

3. They had an issue with cracks in the C linkage during the machining process, and have corrected it. They thought they replaced all of the cracked linkages with the new parts before shipping them out, but a few must have slipped past in their rush to fill these orders.

4. Linkage can touch the bodywork on some bikes if the rearsets are in the lowest adjustment and proper spacers are not used (for instance, the 1198 has a different fairing bracket). To be fair, virtually all rearsets for the 1098/1198 have some limit to the adjustability of the linkages/levers due to clearance issues, so that if they are set past a certain point they will contact the bodywork, this includes: the attack performance, gilles, sato's, rizoma's, etc...

5. Christian and all of SpeedyMoto are devoted to satisfying their customers and has asked that if you have a problem with these rearsets (say - need a new C linkage), to contact them immediately at 503-445-4368 so that they may get these out to you asap.

Thank you,
- Randy

he can look all he wants into the issues. I hope he gets them fixed. However, his reputation is on the line. The bigger issue is I'm not gonna wait around a month for him to come up with a plan to send us replacement parts that may or may not work. We have all been patient enough, I'm done waiting and will be looking to return mine ASAP. Randy please email me with instructions of how to return these. I know it's not your fault but I expect you to make this right with a refund ASAP and deal with speedymoto 1 on 1. Thanks.

The bottom line is that the finish on the pegs and heel guards is of poor quality. Evidenced by the fact that one member of the group buy is already wearing the finish off them after one ride. It's hard to believe they were actually anodized as Speedymoto has stated.

From the pictures that have been posted and comparing to the rearsets that I received, it appears that all of the black rearsets have the same scratches and ground down area on the pegs. I hope Speedymoto does correct this issue on future sets, but I am not interested in keeping the set that I received.

Randy, please check your PM. Thanks.

If there was something wrong with the Ducati you have would you take it back to the dealer who took your money or ring Ducati ? If the dealer said we didn't make it so it's not our fault but here is Ducati's phone number how would you feel?

You are thinking way too hard into this, and for no reason.

Fact of the matter is, SpeedyMoto is (as are we), very committed to satisfied customers and requested that we put any unsatisfied customers in direct contact with them.
