Speedymoto clip ons

I have a set of Speedys on my 999R and love them, fully adjustable, expensive but worth it.
Combine it with a Speedy top tripe and you have the best there is out there.

Yes they are. I like mine. A bit hard in slow going but they help you to remember to keep a loose grip.

OEM ones? If yes - a pair of vice grips and a rag to protect them. Wiggle, twist & pull, wiggle, twist & pull....

Yeah...the ones that came with the Speedymoto clip ons... I put a decent amount of strength into it and it didn't do shit, other than scratching the plastic.

I didn't want to scratch it deeper so I just let it be.

They definitely DO come off, right?

Yes... a bit hard on the hands at first, but you get used to it. I feel like the throttle could be a bit tighter. I tend to prefer a tight throttle feel.

The metal part of the grips takes a little getting used to. I love the set-up, but if I raced, I'd probably go with something softer. I have huge hands so I prefer a fatter grip than this. It does feel quite nice now that I'm used to it. Stiffness... not realy an issue for me.

I did a lot of adjustment until I found just the right location for the clip-ons, but that's the point, right?

All in all, setting aside any minor compromises, it looks amazing and it feels good (but not great). I had some vibration with the stock clip-ons that I no longer have. The vibration was annoying as shit, so I was glad to see it went away.

In other words I'm pleased with the result.

Sorry to hijack the thread a little, but got my Rizoma package (grips, bar ends) yesterday I even installed them myself

I reckon they look great , and they didn't feel all that harsh, even after 150km ride today

Well, I installed mine myself and I am definitely not very happy with them as of now.

I can't steer all the way left or right without having controls getting hammered into my fairing stay. Really annoying...

Anyone else have that problem? Maybe it's because the FGRT803's are shorted in length?

I presume they are a normal style with a bolt through the center?? If so, loosen the bolt a bit then tap it back in. Sometimes the nut on the end get sunk into the expansion rubber and keeps it expanded till you tap it back.
