Speedymoto clip ons

I ordered a set to replace my bent, left OEM one.

Anyone have a set?

I am not sure if I'll drill the holes for the controls or not

Does anyone also have pictures?

Actually...anyone with aftermarket clip ons would have a similar problem as no clip ons come with pre-drilled holes.

What did you do?

I'm running Woodcraft clip-ons and filed down the nubs. The locating pin is just that....a locating pin. It's there to help the little Italian guy at the factory slap the controls on without worrying about alignment. BTW drilling holes makes the bar weaker, the last set i crashed with were OEM and they snapped right at the hole.

I have a set of Driven clip-ons. I put a lot of weight down on my bars doing canyons like Latigo downhill. I weigh about 225 so you can imagine the amount of pressure that rests on the clip-ons. I've never had any problems. I had a local shop do the work. I could have done it myself but I wanted to support the local motorcycle shop with 6 Ducatis in the showroom. Not sure if they drilled them or not, but the filing makes sense to me, or a partial drilling.

Here's some pics... hope that helps a little bit.

I installed the new clip ons today and it's definitely really weird.

I haven't taken it for a spin yet but it feels very lifted and much "stiffer".

Is this normal or is it just that I am so used to the OEM?

Maybe I have to adjust them a little more.

What were your guys' experience?
