Speeding Reason for Court?

I was going 75 in a 55mph zone. I was fined and i could have 2 points put on my license if i do not go to court. I was just not paying attention to the speed limit when I was on a open road so i realize now i was probably speeding. I am thinking about going to court, but i really want to get rid of the 2 points i could have on my license, i can't afford those points. Should I plead guilty or not guilty? Any serious suggestions would really be appreciated.

If this is your first offense explain to the judge what happened. Not paying attention is negligence and could be worse.
Say you were for a moment cognizantly unaware of what was going on around you and next thing you were being stopped. That you cannot accept the points and could the judge make an exception based upon your driving record to this point.
