Let's see some of your work... didn't you say you went to Art Center in Pasadena. I was a heartbeat away from attending there... automotive design was my passion for the longest time.

Luke,

There is only ONE point I think you fall down in with your reasoning for replacing the train station.. but I think it's quite amusing in any case.

The original train staion was built in 1859..... In comparison to the thousands of years of history of this town, this it's pretty small in relevence..

Umm..

How long had trains been running in Bologna BEFORE 1859 ? How many thousands of years with the trains did you say???

hahaha.. Nice work and well argued..

My experience is totally the opposite. Sales guys (plural) were goofs when I bought. I don't go to that section of the store now unless I need to pee, cuz that's where the bathroom is.

My service guy has been totally awesome, great guy, real Ducati guy and just normal!!!

Great dealership and personnel at Ducati Newport Beach. Bought my bike there and continue to go there for service, mods, maintenance, motogp viewing, special event parties ect. I believe that when customers feel welcome they continue to come back. And that's been my experience with DNB, is that I keep coming back (they must be doing something right).

If I have to go back for any servicing I'm taking you with me then!

I haven't tried REV but my luck hasn't been the best. Seems to me everytime I get good Duc service the dealership goes under - THREE and counting!

You're right, trains have their own relative existence that comes into play, but the point of the argument is about the architecture and it's specific dating, not the use. There have been countless examples of buildings that have changed use and program but have held onto the original architecture. For example, if the original structure existed before the train station was built and the architect used the original structure in the new design. This is more common than you think in an old city like Bologna.

SCI-Arc, I'm sure you've heard of it...

Nice designs, did the bike get built full scale? Beautiful upper triple with the Scotts damper!
