Rumor has it that Spectrum Ducati is getting shut down. Something about the owner not being able to pay the bills. Also something about a couple of Ducati 18 wheelers pulling up and repossessing a bunch of bikes.
Does anyone have any conformation on this? Just wondering.
I'm not too keen on how the dealership business goes down. I'm assuming that He gets the bikes from Ducati NA with the intent to sell them and if business is shitty Ducati then comes back and gets the bikes and takes them to another dealer. That may be completely wrong though. Like I said. It was a rumor that I had heard from a friend.
That's what I figured. I was wondering why they had an 07 Tricolore on the showroom floor. The two guys back in part are cool to me when I'm there. And one of their sales guys. But their service department needs work. They were rude even when the old crew was there. That's the biggest reason I won't get any service done at Newport either. I buy parts from Spectrum because of the convenience. I have Nigel at Samurai Moto in Laguna Canyon do all of my services. He's a certified mech and you can sit there and watch him do it. Good people over there. I highly recommend them.
The one in Ottawa closed but not because of sales but "reportedly" because they refused to build a separate Ducati wing in the vein of Honda Powerhouse. As it went down a new one is opened in Waterloo. Goodtimes Ottawa is still alive and well from BMW, Triumph and Kawi sales.
