Okay, so i've been reading some things on the internet that when you graduate highschool and you're in special education for class's you get a "Special Education Diploma"?? instead of a normal one. Okay so i've taken regular Science and History my whole Highschool Career, In 4th grade i got put into "Special education math" and in 11th grade i went into Algebra after convincing my teacher that i could do the work, i struggled but passed, and should be taking Algebra II this year my senior year, and i've been reading some things that when "we" graduate highschool we get a certificate, and not a diploma, and i've done EVERYTHING to the best of my ability in highschool, i had a 84% average in 9th grade 87% average in 10th grade and 85% average in 11th grade, i've done most of my senior project already because we have to do a senior project in our school to graduate, i'll be damned if im going to get a Special education certificate instead of a highschool diploma, it wasn't my choice to be put in special education it was my moms. i can do the work and i've shown my teachers i can. i wanted to be put out in regular english, but my teacher disagreed with me because of my writing skills, i write a little sloppy but im not dyslexic i can spell and remember words and form sentences that make sense. Wowww can somone explain this to me, because our teacher said our special education classes dont go on our transcripts for college, and we need 4 years of english math etc etc to graduate for a diploma, so do we receive the same diploma that regular education kids do? i think we do but if we get a certificate WOWWW im going to be mad.
There, she earned a special education diploma – a certificate which is given to kids who can't earn enough credits and take the tests for a regular diploma

I just read that if i complete all my classes will i receive a regular diploma?
DIPLOMAS
1. Are all students who receive special education services and who are enrolled in public school eligible
to receive a diploma?
YES. The completion of a course of study prescribed under state and local requirements should result in a
formal recognition of the completion of that study. Diplomas for students who receive special education
services shall be awarded in the same manner as diplomas are awarded to students without disabilities.

Okay THANK GODDD lol, =] thanks to everyone who answered.
