ok so i have been enjoing the site that was posted, but since some people
think the prices are too high... where do you shop for your wine? on line or
in person? and what is your price range, and finally what is your favorite
wine and its price?

I get different wines from different places. One of my favorites is
http://www.baldwinvineyards.com/ which was begun by an accountant from
Clifton, NJ and his wife. Their strawberry wine is fantastic for
dessert with or without icecream on the side. Their chardonnay took
gold in France. What I drink most is plonk at about $10/4-liter jug
and sherry at about $9 for 750 ml.

I make my own from kits or juice. most kits will make 5-6 gallons (25-30
bottles) ( Includes everything but equipment)

They range anywhere from around $52 up to $200. ($1.75-7.00 bottle)
You can even get fruit juice in cans that will make 3 gallons stating around
$25 up to $35 ( You will need to add other ingredients)

I just bought 6 bottles at my local grocery store, HEB. They were on
sale for $5.99 each and are California wines. How bad could they be?

I make much of what I drink so the cost is about $3 a bottle. It is decent
wine, equal to the $8 to $12 retail wines.

I buy some boxed wines at 3 liters for $20. Black box is probably most
frequent.

When I visit a winery, I'll buy their wines, usually it is in the $10 to $20
range. There are a couple of good wineries in our area of CT, but when
travelling, I'll check any in the are I'm in. Niagara wine trail was great
too. .

As for a favorite wine, I don't have any. I try a lot of different ones

I have bought Ballet of Angels by the case though.

Near us is http://www.taylorbrookewinery.com/
They have both a raspberry and a chocolate desert wine that is quite nice.

You don't want to know! :-) How bad are they likely to be gets a more
reasonable answer. There are lots of very decent jug and box wines
around here. (Viking Liquors is gone, but there's another good store
in its place.)

I wouldn't have expected Viking to last. Jimmy Jones, died even before
we left KP. He was a prince of a man.

I'll let you know when I open them.
