Speakers always muted.

Hi,

I suddenly have this strange audio problem. When I power on my phone there's no media sound in the speaker. Notifications work, but I can not play music and other media with sound. I can see that the music is playing or streaming, but there's no sound coming from the speaker. The only way to get sound back is to fire up my bluetooth headphones. There's sound in them immediately. When I then turn the bluetooth headphones off I get sound in the phone speaker again, but only until I turn the phone off. When I power it on again there's no sound in the speaker. I can turn media volume up and down, but there's total silence until I connect and disconnect the bluetooth headphones again. Is this some kind of setting I'm not a aware of? Help greatly appreciated.

Is your media volume up all the way when you turn the phone on?

Also, how's your system volume? You might need to get a sound management app to look at the current settings.

Yes, I've checked after I disconnect also and volumes are the same. With the Advanced Audio Manager volume windows pops up when connection and disconnecting so I can see that nothing changes.

I have a startup manager and the only items there in addition to what came with the phone is Handcent SMS. This problem suddenly happened over night. The only app I installed yesterday was the Meridian media player. Could that be the problem?
