I liked the part where she get's her sort of revenge and it becomes known that Andy raped her. I was glad the truth finally came out. It's such an intense movie.

This movie was so sad but Kristen did an amazing job considering she was only 13 when she filmed it.

Gah, I love this movie so much. Seriously, it took me ages to find the DVD, I couldn't get it online anywhere and then I went to a garage sale and it was there! :thud: I couldn't believe my luck. I watch it constantly now. :sigh: Kristen is amazing in it, I can't believe how young she was when she did it.

I saw this on lifetime a long time ago, and it was recently showed in my class after we read the book. I'd already read it 3 times. I liked the movie and the girl they picked for Melinda is absolutely perfect, I believe it was Kristian Stewart. She looked just like I imagined she would. It could have fallowed the book a little bit better, but it was still awesome.

I love this movie. I think it was portrayed really well. And it help that Kristen Stewart is such an amazing actress.

i read this book my freshman year and heard that they made a movie. i really liked how close the movie was to the book.

OMG. I loved this story it was so GOOD. I hope it comes out on DVD one day

I see.

I did a IMDB search and found a page for "Speak". I didn't look too much to not get spoiled but the tag line: The Truth Will Change Everything. really works.

I have Showtime so maybe I'll get to see it soon!

since this movie is a showtime original picture, i don't think its out on DVD or theaters. my friend was in this movie and informed me just in time to see it today. so i wished i posted this on here early enough. but if there are any showings of this movie later ... i will post it here for everyone to see.

and again, its a really great movie and captures the moments.

Did anyone see this film? ... its an independent film ... and thats basically all i can give before i give the story away. i just saw it tonight and it was sooooo deep and beautifully made after the book, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. ahh ... i still can't get over how nicely it was done. i wish most movies could spend more time with the plot.
