Spartacus actor diagnosed with cancer

Cancer's terrifying. Hope it's been diagnosed early and that he makes a full recovery.
 
The next series was planned to be a prequel so I guess they can recast and explain the difference with him being younger.



True but with this series a lot of the audience are the "look boobs/blood" crowd.
 
The prequel has already been filmed due to the delay in making Season 2 because of Andy's illness. IIRC it is due on our screens early next year.
 
It would not be possible to recast Spartacus as a younger actor in the prequel as it covers a period before he arrived at the Ludus and in the main show we saw the events that lead up to he getting there. (So not an option even if the prequel was not already in the can).
 
I've never seen the programme nor heard of him but he looks gorgeous. I feel very sorry that his non-Hodgkins lymphoma has recurred - but it is still possible for him to recover. There is a reasonable rate of recovery from this particular cancer, I hope it is so for him.
 
If you have never seen the programme, now is your chance. It is being repeated on Bravo Channel 123 from 11pm tonight. First few episodes aren't great, but stick with it, it really improves. (And so does AW :):):);))
