...you wire if you don't know? I bought new spark plugs and wires for my Bonneville. I drew the wiring before I took them off. I put them back on, but it seems as if they might be firing out of proper sequence. The numbers on the ignition harness do not work. I tried going by the number of the spark plug with each wire, because someone said this is how they go on. Forget that. The number of the plug and the numbers something like 1 2 3 4 5 6 to 6 4 2 6 3 1 do not help the car run at all. How can I know exactly how the wires should go? I do not have a manual. Is there a free reference guide to look up on the internet?

I do not have the answer, However a good $25-$30 investment is to go and but the Chilton Book for your car. I own one for every car that I have. It will tell you everything you need to know and step by step instructions on how to do it. You can buy them online or at any Auto Parts store.

You can also buy the Haynes but I prefer Chilton. It gives more detail.

I even own it for my new cars that I can't do almost any work on. It makes doing the small stuff that I can do easier.
