1.A spaceship has five thrusters, but one is broken. The thrusters are arranged as in the diagram below. The 45° indicates the angle between adjacent thrusters. You are in charge of a team at mission control whose task is to determine which thruster is broken.

a.Your team tracks the spaceship before and after a 2 second firing of its working thrusters (a 2 second “burn” in astronautically terminology). The spaceship’s velocity vector before the “burn” is m/s, whereas after the “burn” it is . Determine the spaceship’s acceleration vector.
b.What is the direction of the net force on the spaceship?
c.The spaceship has a mass of 2500 kg. Each thruster outputs 2kN of force. If only one thruster is broken, which is it? Show your work. Calculate the net force from the working thrusters to make sure.
