Space Chimps is an all new sci-fi comedy animated film produced by Vanguard Animation and Starz Media.

From Wikipedia: In the movie, when a $5 billion NASA probe disappears into an intergalactic wormhole, the agency recruits Ham III (Andy Samberg), grandson of the first chimpanzee in space, to help retrieve the wayward craft. But Ham is a free-spirited circus performer more interested in zero gravity high jinks than living up to his illustrious heritage. The simian slacker becomes a reluctant hero and learns the true meaning of courage as he and his crewmates, the fearless Lt. Luna (Cheryl Hines) and their uptight commander, Titan (Patrick Warburton), risk everything in an effort to save the peaceful inhabitants of a distant planet from the evil dictator Zartog (Jeff Daniels).

I thought that linked to the same trailer on the offcial site, instead it's some advertisement to pitch to potential buyers in the overseas market.

I wish the real trailer on the official site is playable. It always freezes or stops.
 
I'm guessing Looking at the line up that since Patrick Warburton is going to be doing a chimp by the name of Titan, we can pretty much guess which monnkey he'll be in that line up (Just to the right of Ham the third, who's in the middle, or second from the right).. Is it me, or does that pose remind you of.. Buzz Lightyear of Star Command?

Holy cow.. We've found Buzz Lightyear's distant relative..

But this one gives me a feeling of Valiant..plus the Monkey suits..

I enjoyed the little featurette trailer until they showed producer Barry Sonnenfeld, who immediately compared this film to 1997's Men In Black. Then he went as far as describing this movie as "the next installment of MIB". Sigh.

I'll have to see this film to see how close he is on that one, but I'm going to have to take his comments with a grain of salt.
 
I'm pretty much tired of CG talking animal movies by now. Nonetheless, I'm going to refrain from passing judgement on this film until after I've seen it.

Honestly how many 3D shows can they give us? This doesn't look that great to me but who knows. Maybe it will proove me wrong.
 
Yeah, I honestly don't know what goes through his head. He's got really great wacky ideas and all, but sometimes they don't hit the mark.
 
You must mean movies, not TV shows.

Face it! As long as Hollywood and movie goers lap up 3D animated movies like milk while snubbing 2D, these types of movies will only continue.
