Well, technically chimps are apes, not monkeys, but I get your meaning.

Waaaaaaaaaaaay back on rabroad, around 2001, there were talkback threads for Titan A.E., the Final Fantasy movie, etc. I think that most people (correctly) assume that adventure+apes=one bad combination. Can you think of any kid movies with apes or monkies as the main plot point that's actually good? Remember, aimed at kids, so Gorillas of the Mist doesn't count.

There's no such distinction in French, so I can easily group all the apes, monkeys and baboons into the same category of 'animals I don't want to see star in an animated movie'.
