Okay, whoa, i'm seriously excited! I've been wanting to be an astronaut for like, forever! So like, I was asking my mom if there was something I could do like right now, at my age, to help me get closer to being one when I got older. She told me about SPACE CAMP.
So we live right next to Houston, Texas. Actually, I guess you could say we do live in Houston, were a small town outside of it. My mom bought the tickets for the 12-14 age group (i'm 13) for July.
Can anyone answer my following questions I have about Space Camp NASA in Houston, Texas?
REMEMBER:
I'm going to the camp where you stay there in the lodge! I'm staying the nights 4 or 5 nights, this is also in one of the questions
1. Do you drive there? Or do you go to a location and the ride in a bus with other kids there?
2. I've heard that the space camp is 5 or 6 days. Does anyone have the exact number?
3. I've also heard that they send you information in the mail 5 days before you're supposed to go the camp. That's kind of pushing it... Is there any way you can get the packets earlier?
4. Does anyone know the exact date that camp starts? I'm going in July. I believe it was either the first 2 weeks in July or the 2 last.
5. What kind of activities do you do there? I know most, like the stimulator and stuff. I guess i'm more intrested in what movies their going to play. I saw in the schedule that they play movies from 6-9 p.m.
6. Does anyone have any pictures of the space camp in Houston? Especially of the dormotoriys.
7. Do they let you do your hair and makeup in the morning? Like, I won't go anywhere unless my hair and makeup is done. I know you have from 7 til 9 to get ready but I straighten my hair... I think I might spend the 1st hour getting ready, possibly an hour and a half, and then the other hour/30 mins eating breakfast with the other kids.
8. Are the dorms upstairs? Or is there only a bottom one?
9. Will there be someone watching us in the dorms? I hope not, that'd be kinda creepy...
10. Is anyone else going?

I'm having leg surgrey this month in June (long story, not gonna explain it. just me being a klutz again) so I have like a month "supposingly" to heal so i'll probably be up and walking fast. HOPE FULLY. So if anyone can answer these questions, please do so. I'm gonna start getting ready for the camp. Buying a new suitcase, getting a new hair straightner, etc.

Um... Yeah, I really want to be able to walk when I get there so PLEASE PRAY FOR ME! I already had one surgrey line on march 31st and i've been walking around for like a month. This next surgrey is just gonna be where they take the screws out of my ankle and put smaller ones in. My doctor said that this surgrey won't be as painful and I should be up walking around faster this time.
