The Gundam cast must have been desperate for money after the show ended.
Funny, and surreal. It's like a color swamped version of our favorite characters. I kind of expected Space Black Knight to say "It's just a flesh wound", after losing an arm or two.

Yeah, Amuro and the gang must've been desperate, TV Asahi canceled the series after 48 episodes, and Sunrise fired them and then they found this gig (only to be rehired years later)
Anyway it was hilarious and terrible at the same time, it's the series and characters we know and love gone wrong, and for some reason features Macross robots, and creatures that the Cthuwulf (pronounced Koo-tha-wolf) from Iczer-1 (pronounced Ik-zer) and the Mimetic Beasts from Godannar wouldn't bother fighting
