Soy Allergy?

I've had what seems to be above normal stomach problems my whole life. I've never been able to figure it out. I'll go for weeks with no problem at all, then have nothing but problems for weeks. I've never been able to nail it down to any one food, activity, or situation.

The other day I tried soy milk and was surprised to find out that I am apparently allergic to soy. After I drank it I had a weird tingly scratchy feeling in my throat. I recognize the feeling, because I've gotten it in the past due to other allergies, but it seemed fairly pronounced with this.

Obviously soy is in practically everything... What I am wondering now, is if soy in smaller amounts in fooRAB could somehow be causing other symptoms, like upset stomach?

Thanks for any help,

DD

Hi Dave, I think you are right on that smaller amounts of soy in other fooRAB may be causing you problems. There's some very interesting information made by the Weston A. Price foundation if you want to check it out. It is probably best to avoid it and there's many good reasons why, including the obvious symptoms you were feeling with the soy milk. I also know they talk about many problems people have linked with soy, such as thyroid problems and hormonal issues which soy has been a contributer to. Hope this helps you to understand things better!
